Meet Kera Dorsey, Instructor for ITWorks Las Vegas

We did a quick catch-up with the ITWorks Las Vegas instructor, Kera Dorsey, and asked her what she's looking forward to with the Spring 2017 class!
"I'm excited to kick off my second year with Tech Impact and my third semester of the ITWorks program here in Las Vegas! Over the past year, I've met so many wonderful young adult students and worked with dozens of volunteers who give their time to our program. My job is truly a unique, "warm and fuzzy" IT job, and I've found teaching is something I truly enjoy doing. A lot of what I enjoy about my job comes from the energy and enthusiasm my students bring from Day 1. This program is fast-paced and stressful at times, but we always have fun in class.
A techy fact about me would be that I got into computers from a very young age. I remember checking out a book on computer programming from the school library when I was 12 and creating a “number guessing” game. From that point on, I enjoyed using technology to entertain my family and friends, and luckily for me, that turned into a career.
