501cTECH CIO Leslie Bauer is speaking at a United Way of the National Capital Area (United Way NCA) information session Tuesday, November 5. The event, “Understanding Your Nonprofit Technology Needs,” will include a discussion on how existing technologies can help nonprofits achieve their missions and help nonprofit leaders think about technology as a piece of their organizations’ overall, long-term strategy.
The audience will be encouraged to participate and to share their own technology frustrations, failures, and, most importantly, successes.
Attendees will leave with the following takeaways:
An understanding of technology basics and current trends.
An understanding of advantages and disadvantages to certain solutions.
A sense of what solutions are available to them at low or even no costs.
A review of technology priorities, the IT budget planning process, and technology resources to help create and guide a technology roadmap.
