Where Are They Now? Sultaneh's Journey to Station Casinos

Where are They Now - Social Post - Sultaneh

Are you curious as to where some of Tech Impact’s graduates go in their careers? Meet Sultaneh, a Spring 2017 graduate of the ITWorks class in Las Vegas who has truly found her passion. With the knowledge, certifications, and professional skills that ITWorks gave her – Sultaneh has taken on the IT world by storm. She is now a System Security Administrator at Station Casinos, Inc. and one of our pilot Alumni Ambassadors.

sultaneh-1After completing her ITWorks internship at Royal Tech, Sultaneh snagged an internship at Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada where she continued to build her IT experience. She was then hired for a contract position at Station Casinos, Inc. where she is a System Security Administrator. Most recently, she’s been converted to a full-time employee at Stations. All that in less than one year! She has even managed to take some additional courses to prepare for the next certifications and is so excited to have the opportunity to learn and improve every single day.

Armed with the advice of what many ITWorks volunteers shared with her class, she knows that if she gives 110% to all that she does she will only achieve success. She is hoping to use that logic to move into the cybersecurity field and finish her business degree.

It’s no surprise to Sultaneh that she and her classmates have been successful in their careers: “Words cannot express all the knowledge, support, and success I witnessed during the program. Every student gave their best, so the only result can be absolute success.” She can’t wait to impart that wisdom with new students as an Alumni Ambassador, too!

With the exciting launch of Tech Impact’s Alumni Ambassador initiative, the ITWorks and CXWorks programs are rolling out the “Where Are They Now?” blog series. Meet more of our graduates and learn about where Tech Impact’s workforce development programs have taken them next week.
