We recently spoke with three ITWorks graduates to catch up with them about how their new careers in information technology are going. Hayden Dugan, from the Philadelphia class of Spring 2015 is currently working at Amtrak. Amber Samuels, now working in the Delaware Department of Education (employed through Versalign), graduated with the Delaware class of Fall 2015. And last but not least, James Mazza, from the Las Vegas Spring 2016 class, has started his career working for Goodwill of Southern Nevada. The students in our ITWorks Delaware class are at the halfway point of the Fall 2016 session! Certification exams are right around the corner (tomorrow!) and the class is excitedly preparing for the internships. Mark Roe has been involved in the IT field for quite some time, but did not have the experience, connections, or certifications to back up his passion. ITWorks Las Vegas is halfway through its second 16-week session, and the students are well on their way to some IT certifications and internships! Victor Gutierrez came to the program with a self-taught break/fix knowledge and an avid enjoyment of working through complex problems. With about eight more weeks before graduation, Victor is now ecstatic to get started in the field. Our Las Vegas class is kicking off their Fall session today! Students will embark on an intensive 16-week training program, gaining two IT certifications and real-life IT job experience in an internship at the tail end of the session. We sat down with new student Cynara, who loves working with computers and is excited to learn more and launch a career in information technology.
