ITWorks Receives Support From Valued Supporters

ITWorks

We at Tech Impact were thrilled this week with the announcement of generous donations to ITWorks on behalf of some of our most valued corporate sponsors.

Thanks to important donations like the recent $45,000 grant from Bank of America, the ITWorks programs in Wilmington and Philadelphia will continue to arm our cities’ young people with important tech skills that will make them competitive in today’s job market.

Each graduate of ITWorks, a 16-week program, earn a professional information technology (IT) certification and are placed into technology-related internships at area businesses.

The grant was part of large effort from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation which yesterday announced $457,500 in grants to 21 nonprofits in Philadelphia to help connect the unemployed, underemployed, veterans, youth and those with disabilities to training and employment opportunities.
