In a recent blog post by Buffer, they claim it is difficult to, or nearly impossible, measure ROI on social media marketing.

While there is some validity to Buffer’s argument, there is ultimately some flaw, too. The mere presence of highly measurable statistics would refute Buffer’s point.

Community engagement, measurement of voice, and referral traffic are just a few of the ways your nonprofit can measure its performance on social media. And while a dollar amount is indeed difficult to attribute to that performance, the pervasiveness of your nonprofit brand and its message on social media is priceless.
