The Tech Impact Awards Luncheon is our region’s premiere technology-focused philanthropic event. It brings together a peerless audience of technology executives who are committed to sustaining and improving the lives of individuals in our community.
Last year, the Luncheon raised over $250,000 to help 100 at-risk young adults begin careers in technology through Tech Impact’s ITWorks programs. The Luncheon also supports the technology needs of hundreds of nonprofits through Tech Impact’s Nonprofit Technology Services.
ITWorks is an award winning 16-week job training program that
changes lives. ITWorks offers free, immersive IT training to young adults– motivated high school graduates, 18-26 years old, who have not yet completed a Bachelor’s degree.
Students earn a professional certification in IT and a real-world internship inside leading corporations and nonprofits.
By strengthening young people, ITWorks is creating strong communities.
Please meet Jamie Walls, a Senior Manager of Software Engineering at Capital One, and an incredible volunteer. Jamie has been involved with many ITWorks classes by serving as a mentor, hosting Lunch & Learns, interviewing and supervising interns, and being an awesome advocate for our students. We are proud to announce he is the recipient of Tech Impact's 2016 Volunteer Impact Award.
We would also like to thank our Executive Director Patrick Callihan. Patrick is dedicated to delivering innovative technology solutions and supporting the nonprofit/non-government sector in developing and providing transformational workforce development programs that create a lasting impact on society.
And a special thanks to our 2016 Luncheon Supporters
